Masks I Use on Reset Days

I don’t use face masks every day, but I like having a few different ones depending on what my skin seems to need. Some days I want something more clarifying, while at other times I’m looking for a softer, more comforting treatment.
These three feel quite different from one another, which makes them easy to rotate rather than forcing one mask to do everything.

When My Skin Feels Congested

The Derma Co 2% Salicylic Acid Clay Face Mask is the one I reach for when my skin feels oily, congested or generally in need of a more thorough cleanse. The formula is clearly positioned for acne- and blemish-prone skin, and the packaging highlights salicylic acid, kaolin clay and activated charcoal. I like treating this as an occasional clarifying step rather than something I would overuse. For me, it works best when I concentrate it on areas that tend to become shiny or clogged instead of automatically applying a thick layer everywhere. Afterwards, my skin feels cleaner and more refreshed, but I still prefer following with something hydrating so the routine stays balanced.

A Softer Kind of Masking

Vilvah Milk Mud Mask feels like the gentler option of the three. The label mentions oat milk extract and saffron, and it is presented as suitable for all skin types. I tend to choose this one when I still want the ritual of a wash-off mask but don’t feel like using something intensely clarifying. The texture and overall concept feel more comforting, and I like it on days when my skin looks a little tired or dull. What appeals to me most is that it fits into a slower skincare evening rather than feeling like a heavy-duty treatment step. It leaves the routine feeling more relaxed and makes a nice alternative when stronger clay masks seem unnecessary.

My Pore-Focused Refresh

Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask is the one I use when I want that clean, freshly rinsed feeling without making the whole routine feel harsh. I like how easy it is to place this between a normal cleanser and the rest of my skincare, especially when my T-zone needs a little extra attention. The “refreshing pore mask” positioning describes pretty well why I reach for it: I’m not expecting dramatic overnight changes, but I do like the way my skin feels smoother and more polished after rinsing it away. For me, it sits nicely between the more clarifying first mask and the softer second option.
Overall, I like having masks that serve different moods rather than chasing one supposedly perfect formula. These three give me an easy choice depending on whether I want deeper cleansing, something gentler or a quick refreshing reset.
